What is a hazard?

A hazard is anything that can interfere with your driving.  Experienced and Safe drivers know how to identify a hazard sooner rather than later and take the required action that will avoid potential incidents.  Hazards can include pedestrians, broken-down vehicles, people getting in and out of parked vehicles, road works, other vehicles stopping or turning in front of you or entering from side roads.
